The Scholar attended Yeshiva University High School, an independent all-boys preparatory school located in Upper Manhattan, New York. At school, Alan had a reputation as a troublemaker and a rebellious student, often critical of his teachers and the general running of the school.
After graduating from high school, Alan moved to Brooklyn College in New York for a degree in political science which he received in 1959. As early as high school, Alan was challenged and criticized by his teachers to “do something that doesn’t require a brain. Alan Dershowitz’s relationship with Trump
By virtue of his political beliefs andAlan Dershowitz is a Democrat. He wields massive influence within the political party, which was only underscored when he threatened to revoke his membership in 2016 if Keith Ellison was named party chairman. The part later settled for Tom Perez.
Alan has thrown his weight behind Democratic Party candidates in recent election cycles, supporting Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Interestingly, he took a tough stance on how Democrats have criminalized their political differences with President Trump.
His refusal to support the methods employed by Robert Muller’s investigation surprised liberals, who seemed to find it difficult to support any action taken by the president. Alan Dershowitz initially blamed fellow Democrats for attacking the president’s sanity, calling the game dangerous. He also reiterated that there was no case of obstruction of justice in the case of President Trump firing former FBI Director James Comey.
In recent appearances on Fox News and CNN, Alan insisted that nothing has changed in his political beliefs, saying he remains an advocate for civil liberties no matter who is affected. He believes the FBI’s attack on Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, may have violated attorney-client privilege. Alan believes that these violations set precedents that may have negative repercussions in the future.
