The Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz dated Friends star Jennifer Aniston in 1995.
In a 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Duritz reflected on his 1995 romance with the Friends Aniston, which can be traced back to meeting at ’90s Hollywood hotspot The Viper Room.
“A bunch of my friends lied to me and told me she had a crush on me. Those same friends lied to her and told her I had a crush on her”, he said in Entertainment Tonight’s sneak peek of VICE TV’s Dark Side of the ’90s.
Even though Friends had already premiered at the time, Duritz cited he “had never seen” the show and “honestly had no idea who she was.”
“It didn’t last very long, but she’s a nice girl,” Duritz added.
Jennifer Aniston wouldn’t be the only Friends star that Duritz would date. In 1997, he was reportedly in a relationship with Courteney Cox after she starred in the Counting Crows’ “A Long December” music video.
