Who caused the Jonas Brothers to break up?

The Jonas Brothers are an American pop-rock band. Formed in 2005, they gained popularity from their appearances on the Disney Channel television network. They consist of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas.

They starred in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and its 2010 sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. They also starred in their own Disney Channel series Jonas, which was rebranded as Jonas L.A. for its second season.

The band have released five albums: It’s About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), A Little Bit Longer (2008), Lines, Vines and Trying Times (2009), and Happiness Begins (2019).

In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards.

Six years following their split, the group reunited with the release of “Sucker” on March 1, 2019. The song became the 34th song in history to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the Jonas Brothers’ first number-one single on the chart.

Who caused the Jonas Brothers to break up?

The most surprising revelation was that Nick was the one who started the band breakup conversations.

Nick recalled his conversation with Joe and Kevin: “I said, ‘You know, I feel like the Jonas Brothers should be no more, and we should go on individual journeys.’ And it didn’t go so well. … And I feared that you know, we — they would never speak to me again.”

While there was some bad blood between the boys as they went on solo careers — Nick released two albums, Joe joined the group DNCE and Kevin enjoyed family life with his wife, Danielle Jonas — they eventually made up and started making music together again.

“I think we — we definitely were supposed to go through all of what we went through to get to this point, definitely,” Joe said during the group’s CBS Sunday Morning interview.

“I think it was, it was kind of, I guess you could say destiny, whatever it may be, but yeah, we got a do-over, and I think this time around we’re going to do it right.”
