Ramnagesh Akubathini has been arrested by Hyderabad police on Wednesday and is currently in lock-up in Mumbai.
With the back-to-back defeat of India in the ongoing T20 WC, many of the fans were upset and some of them have shown anger and disrespected the players on social media handles and media.
India has lost their first two matches against arch-rival Pakistan and New Zealand; after that, through an anonymous Twitter account, Ramnagesh tweeted against India ex-T20 captain, Virat Kohli.

He ranked 2367 in the IIT-JEE but was involved in online trolling using multiple identities- he has a large history of it.

Ramnagesh Akubathini’s parent’s name and their ethnic details are currently undisclosed by the Police.
It is said that disclosing information might hinder investigation.
As per officials, his father works in an ordnance factory at Sanga Reddy in Medak district. Apart, from that nothing is known currently about his father, mother, and family members.
Along with him, his father and friends have gone to Mumbai. His family members do know him as a brilliant student but were unknown about his dark history of online trolling.
Further, about the current incident, his family members have told that he accidentally uploaded the post and there was no such intention. His father said, he must have mistyped after removing his lenses and he immediately deleted the post.
Virat Kholi Daughter Death Threat
Virat Kholi’s daughter was given a death and rape threat after India lost its first two games against Pakistan and New Zealand in the T20 WC 2021.
After that, social media users were seen using abusive language and has shown anger on the India Cricket team members. Ramnagesh Akubathini was the person from Hydrabad who has given the threat using an anonymous Twitter account.

He was arrested on Wednesday by the police and is currently in Mumbai jail. Ramnagesh has used the account Gappistan Radio to post the tweet.
The next morning he deactivated the account realizing he made a mistake, he also deleted two more accounts.
Indian cricket team pace bowler, Mohammad Shami was also blamed by the media for their loss against Pakistan; he was trolled for his religion.
