Matt Araiza’s Family Shocked After News Of His Sexual Assault On Minor
The recent allegation of sexual assault against Matt Araiza has shocked his family. Matt, along with two others, has been accused of gang assaulting just a 17-year-old girl at a house party.
Araiza, one of college football’s finest punters last season, is alleged to have had intercourse with a high-school senior and then brought her into a room where she was physically assaulted repeatedly.
Araiza’s lawyer, Kerry Armstrong, told the Los Angeles Times that the accusation is baseless and that his investigator spoke to eyewitnesses from the party who had a different story than the lady.
The teenager was allegedly escorted into a room that already had Leonard, Ewaliko, and at least one other person in it. Based on the complaint, she slipped in and out of consciousness as the men assaulted her, but she remembers seeing what looked to be the light of a mobile phone in her peripheral vision.
