Gabby was traveling with her boyfriend Brian Launderie on a cross-country trip from June this year.
Despite being far away from her family, Petitowas is in regular contact with them. In August, that communication stopped abruptly, which led to their suspicion that their daughter might be in trouble.

She became famous among her followers after she started a channel to share her van life and the places she has been to.
Petito traveled with her boyfriend Brian in a Ford van and embarking on a journey to visit state national parks across the Western United States. The young vlogger was supposed to meet her friend at Yellowstone National park but never heard from her.
Her friend became suspicious after she didn’t show up as she planned and was shocked to find out that Petito was in Yosemite, 800 miles away from their intended destination.

Gabby Petito’s parents are Joe Petito and Nicole Schmidt.
Her parents are divorced, and they have remarried to Tara Petito and Jim Schmidt, respectively.
Petito’s father resides in Vero Beach with his wife Tara, Florida, whereas her mother Nicole lives in New York with her husband, Jim. Her mother became suspicious after she stopped talking to them and contacted the Suffolk County authorities to search for her.
Since then, both her parents and stepparents have been using all their resources searching for their young daughter, who they think might be in danger. The parents have even tried to contact Launderie’s parents, but they haven’t given any response.
Joe Petito even emphasized that everyone has been asking his daughter’s whereabouts except for her fiance and thinks he might have done something terrible to her.
Gabby Petito Missing Update
There have not been any updates regarding the missing case of Gabby Petito.
Her father made an emotional appeal at a press conference on 16th September and made a plea to the family of Brian Lauderie to help him get his daughter back.
Petito’s fiance Brian drove back her van to North Port on September 1 but hasn’t remained silent regarding her sudden disappearance. The North Port authorities have tried to get hold of Lauderie.
However, the family has hired an attorney, and the police don’t have the warrant to take any legal action against them.
