Ellery and Skye met when they both attended London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Both of them started to notice each other when they shared a composition class and also began to notice on social media.
Skye found out from Facebook that both were present in James Blake’s live. They had a proper meeting in a basement. After their official meeting, Ellery started to send demos she had worked on to Skye for his suggestions and ideas.
They formed Jockstrap in 2017 and started to create music. Some of the sounds they have created are fit for concert halls, and others belong in the heat of a messy rave.
