In the greatest drug arrest in Orange County in 16 years, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office has issued criminal penalties against two Buena Park drug dealers, retrieving enough fentanyl from inside a minivan to kill 4.7 million people.
The deadly amount of fentanyl is as low as 2 milligrams, yet they found 20.5 pounds of the drug.
On March 17, 2022, Buena Park police officers pulled stopped a minivan leaving a Buena Park house, and discovered 821 pounds of meth, 189.7 pounds of cocaine, and 20.5 pounds of fentanyl tablets.

Edgar Alfonso Lamas and Carlos Raygozaparedes were detained and charged with six drug-related offenses with enhancements. They pled not guilty.
Similarly, they face one felony offense of possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of sale, three felony charges of sale or transportation for the purpose of sale, and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trade.
Moreover, Raygozaparedes and Lamas are also facing two felony enhancements for having controlled substances that weighed more than 80 kilograms and two felony penalties for having controlled substances that weighed more than 20 kilograms or had a liquid volume of more than 400 liters.
If convicted of all counts, Raygozaparedes and Lamas risk a maximum term of 37 years and 4 months in prison.
