Bharti Shahani, a 22-year-old woman who was attending the Astroworld Festival in Houston, has become the tragedy’s ninth victim.
She was a Texas A&M University student who went to the show with her cousin Mohit Bellani and her younger sister Namrata Shahani. When thousands of fans stormed the stage during a Travis Scott performance, Shahani separated from them.
After five days in the intensive care unit, she died on Wednesday night.
Ms. Shahani’s family acknowledged in a sorrowful news conference on Thursday that she died on Wednesday night from her injuries, as they sought ‘justice’ for her and other victims.

Bharti Shahani Dropped On Head: Video On Reddit
During the crowd surge, Bharti Shahani suffered numerous heart attacks and was put on a ventilator with no brain activity shortly after arriving at the hospital.
She struggled for her life in the intensive care unit for many days, but the 22-year-old was declared dead at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
Following that, the family plans to donate Bharti’s organs to aid others and to form a charity in her honor.
On behalf of the family, attorney James Lessiter has filed a $20 million wrongful death claim. Live Nation, NRG, the Harris Country Sports and Convention Corporation, and Travis Scott are among the listed names.
The family has also put up a gofundme.com account to aid with expenditures.
Who Are Bharti Shahani Parents?
Bharti Shahani’s heartbroken parents are Karishma (mother) and Sunny (father). According to mother Karishma, who was struck with sorrow, said ‘Bharti is love always thinking about everybody’ friends, parents, family, her dog Blue’.
Conversely, Namrata Shahani, her younger sister, claimed the music event was her first. It was something she was looking forward to. She had her clothing all picked out.
Furthermore, attorney Mohammed Nabulsi claimed during a press conference announcing her death that Bharti was the “glue” that held her family together.
