Kristen Santos will compete in the Winter Olympics this year, and many people are hoping she will win gold.
In October of last year, Santos became the first American woman in 10 years to win two medals at a single World Cup, claiming two bronzes in the season-opening World Cup at Beijing’s Capital Indoor Stadium.

Kristen Santos’ parents are unknown because she hasn’t revealed any details about them. She didn’t talk much about her parents and kept their identities hidden.
Her family reared her in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Kristen began figure skating at the age of three and began speed skating at the age of nine.
After viewing an advertisement on the Disney Channel, she became interested in speed skating.
Kristen, in addition to skating, played soccer in high school and spends her free time hiking, skiing, or resting by the pool.
After she retires from speed skating, she wants to work as a physical therapist.
She relocated to Salt Lake City after high school to pursue a degree in kinesiology at the University of Utah.
Santos competed in her first professional competition in 2013, and in early 2014, she competed in the United States Olympic qualification event, however she did not qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia.
Santos made her breakthrough in 2021 when she finished eighth in the final rankings at the Dordrecht World Championships.
She also finished second in the 2021–22 World Cup final standings behind Suzanne Schulting, thanks to a third-place finish in Beijing and a victory in Nagoya over 1000 meters.
She placed fourth in the final rankings in the 1500 meters, winning a bronze medal in that event in Beijing. She also qualified for the Olympics for the first time.
