Where Is William Roddie Bryan Fiancé Amy Elrod Now? He Is Charged With The Ahmaud Arbery Murder And Shooting

Travis McMichael, who shot Ahmaud Arbery and is serving a life sentence for murder, has now been sentenced on Monday to life in prison plus ten years on federal hate crime charges.

Gregory, his father, and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan, also guilty of murder, were scheduled to be sentenced Monday afternoon.

In February, a jury determined that the three white males violated Arbery’s civil rights and targeted him because of his color. Arbery was a black man.

Travis McMichael, 36, will spend his federal term in state prison simultaneously with his state murder sentence. McMichael declined to speak in front of the court.

Where Is William Roddie Bryan’s Fiancé Amy Elrod Now?

GoFundMe recently canceled a fundraising campaign for William “Roddie” Bryan, one of the men convicted last month of murdering Ahmaud Arbery,

Citing a violation of the company’s terms prohibits collecting cash for the legal defense of a violent crime.

The for-profit crowdfunding platform notified the Savannah Morning News that they had stopped the newest fundraiser created for Bryan.

There were three in all, with the most current being set at $300,000 despite only garnering $700 in donations by the time it was ended.

Bryan’s fiancée, Amy Elrod, reportedly started the campaign, citing the guilty man’s financial difficulties and inability to pay his defense bills.

However, William Roddie’s fiance’s whereabouts are yet to be discovered at the present date.

Prison Sentence And Charges For Ahmaud Arbery Murder And Shooting

On Monday, the white man who fatally shot Ahmaud Arbery after pursuing him through a Georgia neighborhood was sentenced to life in prison for a federal hate crime.

Greg McMichael and Bryan face life sentences after a jury convicted them of federal hate crimes in February, concluding that they violated Arbery’s civil rights and targeted him because of his color.

Three elderly men were also found guilty of attempted kidnapping, and the McMichaels risk additional prison time for using a handgun to commission a major criminal.

Prosecutors in the week-long federal trial said evidence revealed the men killed Arbery out of racial hatred, including their use of racial insults and frequent racist depiction of Black persons accused of crimes.

McMichaels and Bryan were found guilty in February of one count each of interference with rights and attempted abduction.

In Travis McMichael’s case, the McMichaels were also found guilty of using, carrying, and brandishing a handgun, as well as firing while committing a violent offense.

More To Know On Bryan’s Children & Family

William Roddie Bryan was not a married man. In addition to that, he did not even have any children. Bryan has now been sentenced to life imprisonment.

However, his family members have not been mentioned in the public media anywhere.

In January, a California Superior Court judge sentenced all three men, including Bryan, to prison for Arbery’s murder, with neither McMichael eligible for parole.

Following their federal convictions in January, the three defendants have remained in the custody of U.S. marshals in coastal Glynn County while awaiting sentencing.
