Where Is Sweetie From Flavor Of Love Season 1 Now?

Sweetie AKA Tika Rainn was one of the contestants on season 1 of the reality TV show the Flavor of Love. Tika is currently enjoying motherhood with her two children and lives in Seattle.

The first season lasted from January 1 to April 2 in, 2006 on VH1. The reality television series followed American rapper and hypeman Flavor Flav of the legendary rap group Public Enemy as he invited female contestants to his mansion to compete for his love.

The show consisted of ten episodes and featured twenty women, each assigned a moniker like Rain or Smokey based on some characteristic of their body or personality given to them by Flavor Flav.

The show lasted for three seasons, consisted of 39 episodes, and ended on May 26, 2008. Many of the women who got their start from the show went on to start successful careers, while many fell to obscurity soon after.

Where Is Sweetie From Flavor Of Love Now?

Sweetie from Flavor of Love season 1 happily lives as a homemaker and mother of two children in Seattle. Sweetie was one of the more memorable members of the cast.

Tika did not go on to have a successful career. Not for lack of trying either, as she tried her hand at acting soon after she was booted out from the show.

She acted in a movie called Wasteland, which came out in 2011. However, it was only a bit role as Brothel Girl.

Tika had another role in a film short two years later in 2013 called Bad As* Bikers, but once again, it was a bit role as Cage Fan. The former reality television star has three roles as a performer under her belt in 2006’s Save the Last Dance 2, 2007’s Epic Movie, and 2014’s You’re Not You.

Sadly, she hasn’t had a role since, but her film career is not what people remember her for. Outside of the reality show, Tika has been immortalized for her terribly received performance in the 2007 season of America’s Got Talent.

She appeared in one episode and made waves because she was dressed as a schoolgirl. Then, she proceeded to rap in a valley girl accent which neither the audience nor the judges enjoyed, and was eventually booed off.

Despite the bad reception the performance received, the video of it on YouTube has fared much better. It has amassed over 11k views and many of the comments seem to view her rapping favorably, with many calling it a proto-Nicki Minaj style that the audience was simply too old to get or care for.

Still, however modest the acclaim it came too late as Tika has long since left the limelight to focus her life on other spaces. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she has settled in Los Angeles, California.

She has two daughters and raises them alongside her mother. Though her marital status is unknown, her Facebook profile states that she is single.

The former reality television star also seems to be a fan of conspiracy theories and posts a lot of videos debunking masks.

Tika Rainn Journey Through The Show

Tika Rainn had a memorable run on Flavor Flav’s show despite finishing in eighth. Her elimination is one of the most remembered incidents of the show.

Though she didn’t make much of an impact during the first two episodes, she made waves in the third episode. The conceit of the third episode was that Flavor Flav would take half the girls to meet his old friends and the other half to meet his new friends.

Rainn was among the five who Flavor took to meet his old friends, who ended up being the residents of a senior center. Though some of the girls were uncomfortable at the prospect, Sweetie was one of the few to have fun with the whole endeavor.

Through her charm, she ended up winning the old portion of the episode. However, her most memorable part was when she refused Flavor’s advances to kiss her, telling him he’d need to wait three more weeks.

As the winner of the third episode, Rainn was flying high into the fourth episode. The conceit of this episode saw the contestants try to impress and win over Flav’s mother, Anna Drayton. They did so by accompanying her to church and introducing themselves over tea and pastries and finally cooking her some fried chicken.

Sadly, this put Rainn at a disadvantage as she hated chicken since an undisclosed incident that happened when she was five years old. Before she could even muster up the courage to do anything about it, another contestant, Hoopz, ended up winning the competition.

She is subsequently eliminated as Flav doubts whether she likes him or not due to her poor showing in that episode’s competition. What followed cemented Rainn as one of the most memorable aspects of the show.

After Flav questioned whether she liked him or not, she went on a long tirade mentioning all the things she had done for him to prove her interest. She then took shots at other contestants, especially New York, Red Oyster, and Hottie, and finally exited by calling Flav “lovely” in an unheard-of New Jersey accent to everyone’s bewilderment.

Though her career in the spotlight was brief, Rainn burned brighter than everyone else in that season and is still remembered now.
