Where Is Sidney Moorer Today? ABC 20/20 Update On His Wife Tammy Moorer And Family

Sidney Moorer and his wife Tammy Moorer are convicted on the charges of kidnap and murder of 20-year-old Heather Elvis. Prosecutors claimed Tammy erupted into a “fire of jealousy,” according to The New York Post.

According to reports, Tammy, Moorer’s wife, discovered her husband’s affair before Elvis vanished. She repeatedly texted Elvis with a hostile attitude, although she denies having anything to do with her abduction.

Despite security camera footage showing a truck thought to be his traveling to and from the boat landing where Elvis’ car was found that evening, Sidney claims the two did speak with each other briefly on two occasions and denies any wrongdoing.

Phone records indicate that Elvis and Sidney’s phones were used to call each other several times in the early hours of December 18.

According to ABC News, People who worked with the still-missing Heather Elvis at the Tilted Kilt in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, claim that her affair with the already married father of three children, Sidney was not a secret at all.

Her former roommate and coworker Brianna Kulzer claimed, “We all knew about this because people did make fun of her knowing that he was already a married man.” Heather was frequently called insulting names by the girls we worked with. Two of the females decided one day to contact the Tilted Kilt and pose as Tammy, Sidney’s wife.

When Elvis last saw Sidney on November 5, she retweeted a joke by comedian Daniel Tosh that indirectly referred to the relationship: “Hey married men, your options are to murder your wife or commit adultery, not both.

You get caught at that point.” On November 19, the couple and their two kids departed South Carolina to travel by car to Disneyland for a vacation. On December 11, they came back.

Where Is Sidney Moorer Today In 2022?

Sidney Moorer’s attorney requested an acquittal for his client in April 2021, stating that the state had relied on unreliable testimony and lacked concrete proof that his client had committed the crime.

The Court denied the writ because it had been “improvidently granted,” which means it should not have heard the matter. As a result, both of them are serving their prison time.

Tammy and Sidney were both detained for obstructing the course of justice, kidnapping, and murder in February 2013. Before a $100,000 bond was set, they were imprisoned for a year.

The members of their defense team passionately claimed that Tammy, in particular, was not implicated by the evidence produced against them. When it happened, the murder accusations were dropped.

Sidney was accused of kidnapping in 2016, but the jury was divided. Nevertheless, he received a 10-year prison term for obstruction. In addition, he was charged with lying to the police while they were doing their investigation.

The first date Heather Elvis of Carolina Forest, South Carolina, had on December 17, 2013, ended when the man, allegedly Sidney dropped her off at her apartment the following day at 1:15 a.m.

Elvis had gone on a date to move on from a romance that had ended two months previously with Sidney Moorer, a repairman she had met through her employment at a nearby restaurant.

The tilted kilt worker called her roommate Brianna Warrelmann at 1:44 a.m. to let her know how the date went while visiting her relatives. The discussion went on for almost five minutes.

Warrelman had warned Elvis “not to do anything hasty and to get some sleep” and encouraged Elvis not to return Sidney’s calls. Around six in the morning that day, Elvis’ cell phone activity stopped, and she hadn’t been seen or heard from since.

Four months later, the Moorers were both charged with murder, obstructing the course of justice, and indecent exposure. The inquiry also brought a Medicaid fraud allegation against the pair.

Sidney was found guilty of obstruction in 2017, but the murder and indecent exposure charges were withdrawn in 2016. In 2014, two men, one of them an Elvis relative, were accused of impeding justice after they published false material online and launched their independent inquiry.

Sidney was found guilty in a second trial two years after his initial trial on the allegations resulted in a hung jury. The Moorers were indicted on an additional conspiracy charge soon after the mistrial. In October 2018, Tammy was found guilty on both counts; she is currently appealing.

Sidney Moorer Wife Tammy Moorer And Family Now

Tammy Moorer is the wife of Sidney Moorer, who was also convicted for kidnapping the restaurant worker. The couple shares three children.

According to Qnewshub, a travel agent, Tammy frequently went to Disneyland using the proceeds of lawsuits. A few weeks before Heather Elvis vanished, Moorer received approval for a business license so she could start a travel agency in her house, according to WMBF News. The name of her travel company was Magical Vacations by Tammy.

The New York Post reports that Tammy Moorer established her online relationship after discovering her husband was having an affair with Heather Elvis. She had known Kevin Hummel, an old friend, since 1998. They started sexting after she messaged him on Facebook in October 2013.

At Moorer’s trial, Hummel said, “She was seeking someone to have a physical relationship with basically.”

They exchanged texts and phone calls but never met in person. It was a brief virtual relationship that unexpectedly terminated in December 2013.

He later revealed that the business agent tied him to the couple’s bed every night, changed the password on his phone to one she knew, and went with him whenever he left the house to ensure that Sidney stayed loyal to her.

To keep their marriage intact, Sidney consented to all of these limitations. Tammy also forced Sidney to get her name inked above his groin.

Nevertheless, Tammy kept in touch with Heather, sending her texts such as, “Hey honey, ready to meet the MRS?” and making threats against her physical safety or hinting that she was planning to murder Elvis.

On November 1, Elvis texted her in response, saying she was “no longer anybody you need to worry about.” Heather’s only other direct reply to Tammy’s several texts was a period, followed by the text “by the way, dad no longer has his phone,” likely referring to Sidney.

His wife also attempted to get Elvis terminated from her position at the Tilted Kilt by calling the establishment frequently and threatening to have her husband cease fixing the machinery as long as the victim was employed there.

Sidney allegedly managed to text Elvis once more at one point, telling her that his wife had not opposed the affair because she too had a lover, but more to his lying about it.

When Elvis questioned him about getting his phone back, he said that the relationship was finished. Despite wanting Tammy to stop phoning the Tilted Kilt, she consented. She said, “They sent me home because she continued calling, and I lost hours today.”

Sidney Moorer Affair With Heather Elvis And Arrested For Kidnapping

In June 2013, Sidney Moorer, a 37-year-old Socastee resident who fixed the kitchen appliances at the Tilted Kilt, caught Elvis’ attention. She had tweeted earlier in the month that she had “a taste for older males.”

Bri Warrelmann, who shared her apartment with the Carolina born and was also an employee, remembered Elvis pointing Moorer out to her. A little over a month later, she indicated a sexual interest in and a wish to engage in physical contact with “the guy who builds things at my job.”

A tweet from July 12 in response to a friend’s claim that Elvis had “a lot of explaining to do” mentioned a person named “Sidney” as someone she would make an effort to visit, and then four hours later added, “baby did a terrible thing” and “I’m in way too deep.” But watch as I dive in farther “.

The victim reportedly talked about her friendship with them with friends and coworkers as well. When he wasn’t working, Moorer frequently visited the restaurant to bring her coffee and bagels. If the couple decided to go to Florida, as they were considering doing, he thought of inviting Elvis to serve as their children’s nanny.

Moorer claimed that most of his relationship with Elvis occurred in September 2013. Elvis tweeted at the end of that month, “An angel and a devil once got together and fell in love. It did not turn out well, ” later understood to be a reference to the relationship, which had already terminated.

Soon later, Moorer’s wife, Tammy, learned about the relationship and was enraged. Warrelmann claimed that Tammy forced Sidney to phone Elvis and discontinue the relationship while she was watching.

She claims that Sidney informed Elvis that she was “just someone who spread your legs” and that she meant nothing to him. Sidney “essentially tore Heather apart as a human being and made her feel terrible about herself,” according to Warrellmann.
