His breakthrough moment may have come in 2015, when he won a bronze medal at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado.
Ravi spent the majority of the 2019-2020 ski season competing internationally, posting several top-ten finishes and continuing to close the gap on some of the world’s best skiers. Ravi’s next goal was to compete in the Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2022.

On his 15th birthday, Ravi Drugan awoke in a hospital bed. Both legs were amputated above the knee. He’d been hit by a train and had no memory of the incident.
He realized his life without legs within a haze of pharmaceuticals, with a Morphine button at his hospital bedside and doctors prescribing piles of Percocet and Neurontin.
There is still some mystery surrounding what happened to Drugan that evening and an ongoing investigation in Eugene, Oregon.
Regardless of what happened or what Drugan didn’t know or couldn’t remember, he would one day realize a completely new mode of transportation and his childhood dream of medaling in the X Games.
Drugan and his family had a difficult time adjusting to this shocking new reality. It wasn’t until a bout of food poisoning left Drugan unable to take his medications that his parents suggested he smoke some cannabis to help with nausea and vomiting.
