Lyrics of When I Saw You There Sitting All Alone Explained
When I Saw You There Sitting All Alone is a song by Olly Murs. The original name of the song is Dance With Me.
You can find it on Youtube as well. As for the lyrics, it has quite an explanation.
The song expresses Olly’s frustration with today’s social networking-based dating.
Everyone is familiar with online dating, whether it is Facebook or Twitter. Today’s generation does not know how to communicate face to face. Instead, they hide behind their phone, chatting.
The singer is sick of Twitter and Facebook. He says he wants to meet a girl in a club or a bar.
But every time he meets a girl, they’re like, add me on Facebook, or Tweet me.
They don’t even go out on a proper date, and even if they do, they are always on their phones.
He wants to go for a good drink and get to know the girl.
So keeping this in mind, he went to his studio and wrote this song.
He wanted to write an ancient, classic song about seeing a girl in a club and taking her out on a date.
