Comedian Selvy passed away on Monday, 25 July 2022, at Goa Medical College and Hospital after suffering from a medical condition. His followers praying for his speedy recovery started tributing him after his death.
Selvy went to the hospital after he felt uneasy about his health situation in the tiatr ‘d Dis’ at Pai Tiatrist Hall, Margao. At that time, he mentioned his toothache to his crew members.
He found that his hemoglobin and diabetes levels had dropped upon visiting the hospital. Following his death, Damodar G. Naik mourned, stating,
“Popular comedian from the Konkani stage, Matheus Correa, better known as comedian selvy from Velim, is No more. he was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) May his soul rest in eternal peace. Condolences to the bereaved family and friends.”
Likewise, Joshua Peter De Souza mentioned, “Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of renowned Goan #Comedian and #Tiatrist, Mathias Correia, famously known as #ComedianSelvy.”

Comedian Selvy Matheus Correa’s wife and family currently mourned his death after losing him on Monday at the hospital. While he got admitted to the GMC, his son Myron opened up about the situation,
“Dada is improving considerably. His diabetes has come back to normal but his blood platelets count has to improve.”
“He is not in ICU, he is very active and responding to every phone call that he is receiving.” His beloved ones hoped to stand with him again when he got taken to the hospital.
Sadly, the comedian lost his life, leaving all his loved ones behind.
