Scottsdale Christian is advancing to 3A after winning the 2A title. Coach John Anderson will use this opportunity to continue player development with a combination of seasoned and emerging talent who could aid the Eagles in their bid for the 3A championship.
Elijah Williams, a 6-4 freshman and the son of Suns coach Monty Williams, is the top newcomer.
Anderson predicted that Elijah will soon cause a stir in the Arizona high school basketball scene.
“Elijah is already playing above the rim at just 14 years old with a frame that weighs 190 pounds and is tremendously strong.
His skill set matches, if not exceeds, his already exceptional athletic prowess.
Elijah is capable of scoring from all three levels, and few players can match his strength when going for the hoop.
Elijah provides wonderful maturity and wisdom that have been passed down from his father, Monty Williams, along with his exceptional skills and athletic prowess.”
What school does Monty Williams son go to?
