What Religion Does Ali ‘Seth’ Follow?
Ali Seth is a proud Muslim and follows the Islamic religion. Sethi has repeatedly performed renditions of popular ghazals such as “mere Humsafar mere humnava,” “ye mera deewanapan hai,” and “ranjish hi Sahi,” demonstrating the timeless nature of music and bringing Salvador Dali’s masterpiece “Persistence of Memory” to life in the South Asian context of simultaneous longing for a lover and an identity.
Ali is proud to be Muslim and believes in and reads the Quran and Namaz five times a day. Islam teaches that God is benevolent, all-powerful, and unique and that he has guided humanity via prophets, revealed texts, and natural signs. The Quran serves as the ultimate, universal revelation and Muhammad as the “Seal of the Prophets.”

This merging of identities is evident in his latest single, ‘Pasoori,’ in which he promises his sweetheart that he would light every’majboori’ on fire and drink in a frenzy even if she offers poison in the name of love.
