However, according to the official news from BBC, he is about to leave the station in September 2021.
“Things change, locations change, people change, and it’s time for a change,” the DJ, who has hosted the afternoon program since January 2019, stated.
He praised his listeners for being “constantly humorous, always nice” and for being there for him through “births… terrible curries, died dogs, the whole shebang.”
In due time, a new afternoon program will be released.
Keaveny joined 6 Music in 2007 as a late-night host before taking over the breakfast show in April of that year. Before shifting to the early afternoons, he lasted in that position for 11 years.
