On July 2, 2021, the Massacusetts police got into a standoff with a group of armed men.
The incident took plac when a state trooper came across a group, consisting of eight or nine prople, refueling their vehicle.
The tropper stopped to offer some assistance but noticed that the men were earing tactical-style gear and were had rifles and pistols with them.
They asked for their identification and called for backup.
The armed men then headed into the nearby woods. Police authorities then issued the partia closure of the interstate in Wakefield and near Reading.

What Is Moorish American Arms?
Several media outlets has described the armed group as “Moorish American Arms.”
The group were in a military-style uniforms, had guns, and were also carrying body cameras and helmets.
They released a video on the YouTube channel, Rise of the Moors, where they clarfied that they were not an anti-government group.
The group further stated that they were following the country laws and hence, should be allowed to travel across the state with their weapons.
They stated the group meant no harm to any citizens and wanted a peaceful ending to the standoff.
Moorish Americans have a Moroccan flag and claims to be American nationals but not US citizens.

Why Is The Moorish American Arms Group Arrested?
On the morning of July 3, the Massachusetts police stated they arrested two men from the group. They were transported to one of their barracks.
Afterward, the police confirmed that the remaining suspects were also arrested and taken into custody.
The group, aka Moorish American Arms, refued to comply with the laws and put down their weapons.
The police issued a shelter in place order and orered people in the nearby area to stay inside their houses.
Police had described the group of men who did not recognize their laws.
After the group’s arrest, police stated they will investiagte their two vehicles and woods.
No further information is released in relation to their arrests.
