Tonight marks the start of the second week of heats for Celebrity MasterChef, which is currently in its 17th season.
Cliff Parisi, the star of Call The Midwife, joins the game this time on BBC One. The former EastEnders actor will do his best to impress chefs Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
Nevertheless, with several heats left, the competition is only getting started as 15 more celebs are ready to get messy.
Here’s all you need to know about the Celebrity MasterChef 2022 contestant, Cliff Parisi.
Update On Cliff Parisi Illness And Health: Is He Sick?
The EastEnders star is in excellent health as he has no illness. Still, back in childhood, after pretending to have stomach discomfort, Cliff Parisi was compelled to have his appendix removed.
Per The Sun, the London-born celebrity claimed that when he attempted to skip class, he was so convincing in his illness-pretendation that his frightened mother instantly dialed 911.
In an interview with Spring Into Summer host Alan Titshmarsh for ITV, Cliff said: “Since it was my first acting part, I acted outrageously as always.”
Basically, the ambulance arrived before Cliff’s mother came home, so he didn’t get a chance to confess to her. The Call The Midwife star said, “I had my appendix removed after being taken off.” I have no health issues.”
Alan was in shock as he heard his tale, and he responded, “Good acting, though! You in good stead.”
“Indeed, I never did it again,” Cliff remarked.
Cliff Parisi’s Weight Loss After Filming Celebrity MasterChef
Speaking of his weight loss, after the “Celebrity MasterChef” shoot, Cliff Parisi dropped half a pound in a week.
Despite his fondness for foods like “curries, fish and chips, a fry-up,” the “Call the Midwife” actor, who calls himself a “devil with a barbeque,” was thrilled to enter the BBC cooking competition. However, he is now prioritizing his health after participating in the show.
“I’ve been attempting to eat a more balanced diet,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“I ingest soaked oats twice daily. I steer clear of chocolate cookies, and this week, I’ve shed half a stone. I wish to maintain my health.”
In a similar vein, Cliff Parisi of I’m a Celeb claimed to have shed a stone and a half on a diet of rice and beans while living in the jungle back in 2019; however, he was unsure how that would impact his role in Call The Midwife.
As said by Mirror, the actor claimed that the meager rations were perfect for his weight-loss plan but acknowledged that his superiors would probably prefer that he quit dieting.
EastEnders Actor Sizable Net Worth From Acting
It is safe to guess that Parisi may have a combined net worth of $1 million based on his over 40 years of acting experience and numerous appearances in films and television shows.
However, the above is only an estimated figure, as its precise worth and value are under review.
In 1982, Parisi started a stand-up comedy tour in the UK to launch his professional career. After that, he filmed a cameo appearance as Walt in the 2012 season of the Hollyoaks soap series on Channel 4.
In the BBC drama Hustle, he also played the part of Arnie as a guest star. The BBC historical drama Call the Midwife has featured Parisi as Fred Buckle since 2012.
His Wife Tara Wyer Is A BBC Producer: The Duo Blessed With One Child
Cliff is a father of four children, and one of his kids was born to him and his wife, Tara Wyer, a BBC producer.
In 2000, his wife worked as an assistant producer on The Weakest Link as one of her first jobs. She contributed to the 2005 TV tribute to Victoria Wood, Victoria Wood: A BAFTA Tribute.
She served as an assistant producer for Nigella, one of Nigella Lawson’s cooking programs, in the same year. Moreover, she served as a producer for Never Mind The Full Stops in 2006 as a celebrity producer, and in 2009 she produced The National Lottery: Big 7.
On the other hand, Cliff announced the news of his appearance on Celebrity MasterChef on Instagram, writing: “Who’s up for dinner?” I’m thrilled to say that I will be competing in this year’s Celebrity MasterChef UK.”
The actor acknowledged that he was anxious since he was attempting to win his wife’s confidence in his ability to prepare meals.
He stated: “I’d want to cook a little bit more, and I’d like my wife to trust me a little more in the kitchen.”
