Jeff Wittek, a Vlog Squad member, has begun releasing a tell-all video documentary about his experiences with David Dobrik in the YouTube collective, specifically sharing how he suffered a major eye injury last year.
Dávid Dobrik is a well-known Internet personality. The star rose to prominence on the video-sharing platform Vine before launching his vlog on YouTube in 2015. He co-founded the photography app Dispo in 2019.
David is best known as the leader of the popular YouTube ensemble The Vlog Squad, which appears prominently in his vlogs and is made up of rotating members of his friend group.
His vlog channel had 18.3 million subscribers and nearly 7 billion views as of 2022. With 2.4 billion massive views in 2019, the channel was the fifth-most viewed creator channel on YouTube.
Youtuber David Dobrik Accident Footage- His Eye Injury
Jeff Wittek released graphic and uncensored footage of the near-fatal accident that nearly killed him.
The Vlog Squad member and YouTuber shattered his skull in 2020 when a stunt for a YouTube video involving an excavator controlled by YouTuber David Dobrik went horribly wrong.
As a result, Jeff sustained multiple serious injuries and required surgery. According to Jeff’s doctor, he could have been killed or lost his eye completely.
Jeff did not confirm how he became seriously injured at the time of the accident, but he has now been revealing details about it on his documentary series “Don’t Try This At Home.”
On April 26, Jeff released the third episode, “AFTER THE ACCIDENT,” which depicted his perilous road.
Many fans were outraged at David’s actions, labeling them “irresponsible.”
Later episodes of the show featured Jeff saying that seeing the star all over the internet after the accident “made me resent him.” It made me resentful to see his face. It made me want to avoid going online.”
What Happened to David Dobrik?
In the second episode of the documentary, titled “HOW I BROKE MY FACE | Ep 2 | Don’t Try This At Home,” Jeff Wittik told the story of a stunt he pulled with David Dobrik for the vlog in June 2020 that went disastrously wrong.
Jeff explains in the video that a few months into the pandemic, David wanted to return to YouTube after not posting for a while — his idea was for the Vlog Squad to do a multiple series of crazy stunts for a new video.
Thus, after jumping out of a plane with Natalie Mariduena, Jeff met Dobrik in Utah, where the duo had an excavator in the middle of a lake.
David drove the tractor, which pulled tubes and wakeboards around the water, and everything seemed to be fine at first.
David Dobrik Health Update
David Dobrik has not suffered from any injuries, so he is completely fine. However, his friend Jeff met with an eye injury during the strange stunt they performed together for a Youtube video.
They even posted a video explaining the incident.
This video came at a time when David Dobrik and the Vlog Squad are still being chastised and accused of misconduct.
Dobrik addressed some of the allegations in a video on his channel last month, but he has remained silent since. He has yet to issue a statement regarding Jeff’s accident.
