What Happened To Ryan Doyle Newstalk 1010? Why Is He Off?

Reports claim that Ryan Doyle, a longtime radio host of the Newstalk 1010, has parted ways with Bell Media.

Since his absence from The Rush with Ryan & Jay has been a long one, his fans want answers. They have their speculations and theories on the matter. There is a thread on Reddit talking about it. Similarly, users also provide their thoughts and seek reasons on other social media.

Nonetheless, the news personality himself remains silent. Some fans believe illness caused Ryan to be off the show. It seems he was away from work because of his battle with ulcerative colitis before his recent absence. 

As per the sources, Newstalk 1010’s website has removed the details of Ryan. The removal happened on 28 October. Further, his Linkedin bio also says that he discontinued being the host of The Rush with Ryan and Jay in December 2021.

In addition to these, reports online suggest the parting of Ball Media with the on-air personality. The logic is because the CFRB-AM rebranded the popular show, which won the Canadian Radio Award for Best On-Air Team last month, to The Rush with Jay Michaels.

Looking at the evidence, Ryan seems to have left Newstalk 1010. However, some fans believe that he will make his comeback to the show.

He graduated from Humber College in 1996. As for his professional career, his Linkedin says that he began with Ball Media in 1996 as a host/producer. He recently left the organization after 25 years in December 2021.

Similarly, Ryan began hosting The Rush with Ryan & Jay on Newstalk 1010 in 2014. He worked there for seven years.

Besides these, he hasn’t disclosed his private information including, his parents and family. Likewise, his love life also remains out of the spotlight. Though he is a verified user of Twitter, he doesn’t spend a long time on social media.
