What Happened To Nathaniel Woods? He only took one bite of his last meal before being executed.
Nathaniel had surrendered to cops when they stormed a crack house. Another individual opened fire which killed three officers and injured one. Woods ran from the scene after the incident blew up. It took place on June 17, 2004, inside a crack house in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was charged with capital murder and being an accomplice despite never pulling a trigger. Kerry Spencer and Nat were both charged with the murders, and Spencer even stated that Nat was not involved and was innocent.
Nathaniel Woods Got Executed: What Happened?
Woods got executed at Holman Correctional Facility, Alabama, on March 5, 2020. His execution was described as controversial as many were skeptical about the fairness of the trial.
At his trial, prosecutors were successful to include only two qualified black prospective jurors. They recognized that it was Kerry who opened the fire, but Woods got accused of enticing the cops to their deaths.
It was being decided if capital punishment was the appropriate sentence for his conviction, and the jury voted 10-2 in favor of execution. Nathaniel was placed on death row as Alabama does not require death sentence verdicts to be undivided.

Woods believed that he would not be given the death penalty, so he did not take a plea deal of 20 to 25 years in prison.
Nathaniel made calls to his father, mother, sister, daughter, and close friends hours before the execution on Thursday. He was given the lethal injection at William C. Holman Correctional Facility, Atmore. He was announced dead at 9:01 pm.
Where Is Lawyer Lauren Faraino Today?
Lauren Fariano is the lawyer and supporter of Nathaniel and his case. Lauren has criticized his legal team for misleading him and for Woods’ counsel for letting him down, reports The New York Times.
Nathaniel got executed for claims of aiding the killer.
Today, Fariano might still be working as a lawyer in Alabama. After the case, the lawyer preferred to stay away from the limelight.

Before his execution, Woods requested a hearty meal. He only took a single bite of the meal before the execution.
Nathaniel Woods was killed by the state of Alabama tonight. Nobody involved with the case, state or defense, believes he killed anyone: death penalty as an accomplice.

He requested a chicken patty, cooked apples, two oranges, sweet potatoes, leg quarter, fries, spinach, and an orange-flavored drink, reports Mirror. Nat only had one bite of the chicken and left the rest of the meal untouched.
