Justyn Ross, the Kansas City Chiefs rookie, was diagnosed with a rare spinal disorder in 2020. Unfortunately, his rookie season ended because of his foot injury. His injury made him feel uncomfortable while performing. Hence, he is out for the 2022 season.
Justyn was born on December 15, 1999, and made his name as an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs. He began playing college football at Clemson and aimed to be a renowned athlete from childhood.
Kansas City Chiefs: What Happened To Justyn Ross?
Justyn Ross has been declared an ineligible player for this rookie season. He had his foot surgery last week but still felt cramped. For this reason, his rookie season is over before it even began. Even though he has several health odds, he is focusing on raising his career, but this time it did not turn out as expected.
In contrast, this news has saddened his entire fan following and well-wishers who are eagerly waiting for his performance this season. Ross got a foot injury back in November and underwent surgery to recover from the pain and repair the damage. Knowing more about his health condition is concerning, and hope he will be back again in 2023.
Has He Done Neck Surgery?
Yes, you guessed it right. Justyn Ross had neck surgery to completely remove a disc in his neck. During spring practices in 2020, Justyn Ross experienced Klippel-Feil syndrome. It is a kind of health disorder in the spine where vertebrae are fused, and it feels difficult to move one’s neck as usual.
Justyn Ross had a congenital fusion of his upper cervical spine and then a surgical fusion at a level below performed by Dr. David Okonkwo, a respected Steelers doc. Many teams had taken him off their draft boards, so the risk was real. But the talent is also real. Lands in KC. https://t.co/GcK4HR1q6O

Moreover, his neck surgery involved stabilization of the joint, so he was not allowed to play at the NFL level. As per Dr. Jessica Flynn’s statement, his neck’s flexibility and shape have been altered, and hence he might have experienced some complex problems. Despite his injuries and obstacles, he continued to play for Clemson, which was a commendable act.
Justyn Ross Injury And Health Update
The Chiefs’ rookie wide receiver, Justyn Ross, will not be playing for the entire 2022 season and will be placed on the Injured List. He had severe foot surgery last week, so he required time to heal from the pain.
Ross wounded his foot early in the 2021 season but never thought his pain would lead him to an extreme ache. He is one of the most promising players in the NFL, and it feels downhearted to make him undrafted. The athlete had 46 receptions for 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns as a freshman at Clemson, but his dream of showcasing his talent on the NFL stage this season were dashed.
