When Joey King was a young filmmaker for a horror film, he experienced a physical haunting.
On The Drew Barrymore Show, the 22-year-old In Between actress described how, while filming The Conjuring in 2013, she suffered a blood issue that required regular medical check-ups. The illness vanished, though, once she returned home after finishing the movie.
Is it true that you experienced, like, physical stuff while you were filming The Conjuring? inquired host Barrymore.
“I was therefore at a significant risk of internal bleeding and could require a blood transfusion. It was so dramatic,” she added. “As a result, I had to visit the hospital every day before and after work to have my blood drawn. Then, all of a sudden, I arrived home, and my blood hasn’t given me any trouble since.”

Along with the terrifying nature of the film, several strange occurrences occurred on the set. It’s true, I suddenly had a strange, uncommon blood condition, and basically, all of my body’s crimson platelets were emptied. They simply vanished.
