He was a renowned footballer who played for Florida International University and Ole Miss. He always did his best in his career and made his country and city proud. Many people also know him as the younger brother of Dawson Knox, also a football player who plays for Buffalo Bills since 2019.

The brother of Dawson Knox, Luke, died at the age of 22 in a dormitory by his colleagues on August 17. The FIU Police arrived and attempted CPR. Later he was transported to a local hospital where he took his last breath.

The FIU Coach, Mike Maclntyre as a tribute posted on his Twitter, “Words cannot explain the sincere sorrow we feel due to the passing of our teammate and friend, Luke Knox. I had the chance to coach Luke at FIU and Ole Miss. Even though I respected his love for the sport, I’ll always remember his genuine affection for his family and teammates.”
The coach also added that the Knox family will always be special to him and will have a place in his heart. He and the FIU football family also expressed their condolences during the difficult time.
The athletics department of FIU also grieved the sudden death of Luke Knox who was a valuable member of the football team. The whole department sent prayers and thoughts to the family going through this difficult time.
Dawson’s (Luke’s elder brother) coach, Bills, Sean McDermott, also gave his condolences in a press conference and exclaimed that he will give his full support and be there in need to Dawson and his family during this time of sorrow.

Dawson Knox, born on November 14, 1996, is an American footballer who plays for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL).
He completed high school in his hometown Brentwood, Tennessee where he played wide receiver and quarterback for his high school football team. Knox joined Ole Miss in Mississippi in 2015 and played at Ole Miss till 2018. After the year 2018, Dawson decided to forgo his senior year at the University of Mississippi and enter the NFL Draft in the position of tight end.
