Ndawula, who graced the airwaves of Uganda’s private FM stations—starting with Sanyu FM before moving on to Capital FM—during the early 1990s liberalization wave, died Monday evening at Nsambya hospital in Kampala.

According to Patricia Osman, the producer for the Capital Gang on Capital FM, where the deceased worked before retiring, Alex Ndawula died at Nsambya hospital where he had been admitted with a sickness.
There is still a lack of information about his illness and funeral plans. Former coworkers, acquaintances, and Ugandans who grew up listening to his performances have praised him as a true legend.
“A true legend has retired.” In the mornings, he lit the FM waves on fire, and during his Dance Force mixes, he set them on fire even more. Alex Ndawula owned the dance weekend space at the height of FM radio. “Alex Ndawula, farewell,” Allan Ssenyonga tweeted.

The news of Alex Ndawula has been circulated on the web. He has been reported to be ill and admitted to the hospital, but instead of gaining his health, he passed away.
There is no exact reason mentioned for what had happened to him. He was 59 years of age when he died. Ndawula was born in the United States in 1963 and moved to Uganda when his father died when he was eight years old.

Ndawula was married to his wife Drucilla. However, a veteran Capital FM presenter, was the talk of social media over the weekend and for the better part of this week after he revealed that his wife had left their marriage in a series of posts.
He was hurt as his wife left him. According to sqoop.co.ug, Alex was deeply hurt by his wife, but he “posted the posts after consuming several alcoholic beverages.” “He shouldn’t have done that to himself,” a buddy explained.
