Markus Crane passed away on 27 December 2021.

Freelance Wrestling circulated the news via Twitter. They wrote “Love You Forever Markus” and ended their tweet with #RIPMarkusCrane. As for the cause, it remains unclear at the moment.

In 2019, a team of 5 created a GoFundMe page to help in Markus’ medical treatment. On 8 December, he found himself at an emergency room in Las Vegas due to a head injury. The doctors then performed a diagnosis and concluded that he needed immediate neurosurgery. The medical procedure took place the next day.

The surgeon performed a craniotomy, discovering an infection that was eroding the wrestler’s skull and leaking into the brain. With that found, the medical expert removed a plumb-sized portion of the cranium to facilitate the treatment of the infection. The doctors did their best and soon began the antibiotic procedure.

Medical personnel deemed that Markus needed a future cranioplasty to repair the skull, recovery therapy, and specialized care. The objective of the funding campaign was to help pay those medical expenses. So far, 453 people have donated, equalling an amount of $22,350.

Probably, that same head injury was the reason behind his untimely passing. But, without any official confirmation, the exact cause remains a mystery. Likewise, the details on his funeral, including the date and venue, aren’t publically available.

Nonetheless, we hope his soul rests in peace. May God give his family enough strength to face this predicament.
