What do you write in a greek christmas card

Christmas Greetings in Greece

The Greek word for Christmas is Christougena or Christougenna, literally meaning “Christ’s birth.” When Greeks say “Merry Christmas,” they say, “Kala Christougena.” The apparent g sound is pronounced like a y.

“Christmas is the season of joy, of gift-giving, and of families united.” “Peace on earth will come to stay when we live Christmas every day.” “He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree.” “Like snowflakes, my Christmas memories gather and dance—each beautiful, unique, and gone too soon.”

Spend time thinking exactly what you want to write about in your letter. Identify the emotions you have surrounding different circumstances or situations you want to include. Write a brief opening at the beginning of the letter. Consider asking how the letter’s recipient is feeling or what she has been doing lately.

All of that was just how to address part of the envelope! For the letter or card itself, you would want to use the standard “Dear” plus the recipient’s name as the greeting. If you aren’t on a first-name basis with the person, use an honorific and surname and then a colon; “Dear Mr. Schlueter:” would be an example.
