What did Dave Hollis do for Disney?
In 2011, Hollis took over as Disney’s head of theatrical distribution after Chuck Viane retired. As a result of his leadership, the studio produced some of its largest box office hits, including movies from Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and Pixar as well as new animated pictures and the remakes of beloved animation classics.
Given the considerable accomplishments made under his leadership, Hollis’ resignation from Disney in 2018 came as a surprise. He had a good reputation in the field and gave Disney a warm, approachable image.
