Dan Crenshaw slammed a young woman of unknown age at a Montgomery County Tea Party PAC gathering on Monday, accusing her of questioning his faith.
The 10-year-old girl asked him to clarify the Jocko Podcast’s statement. She inquired about his previous comment about hero archetypes, in which he compared Jesus Christ to a fictional character.
He said that there are societal hero archetypes that Americans look up to. He added that Jesus is a hero figure, Superman is a sort of hero and real character.
“You know, Rosa Parks, Ronald Reagan, all of these people embody certain attributes that the American people think ‘This is good,” he added.
After quoting his statement, the girl said, “I’ve seen you claim to be a Christian,” the girl said at the meeting. “You’ve talked about God, but when you claim Jesus to be a hero archetype, you not only lied about Jesus not being real, but you lied about being a Christian.”
She added that she could not understand what he said after reading his statement. In response, he asked her to put a period after the word Jesus and not to question his faith.
As soon as he responded in such a way, the audience booed him. One of the audiences from the video even called him a “moron.”
