Cook was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the second child of George F. Cook (deceased in 2007) and Donna Jean (née Ford; deceased in 2006).
Darryl, an elder half-brother, and five sisters make up his family. He was raised in an Irish Catholic home.
Although he was a “wild child” at home, Cook has admitted that he was “pretty quiet, pretty introverted, and shy” as a child.
He overcome his shyness when he started acting and performing stand-up comedy in his junior year of high school.
As a backup plan in case he didn’t find success in comedy, he studied graphic design in college after graduating from high school. These days, he creates all of his stuff, even the album cover for his latest release, Harmful If Swallowed.
Most of his comedic writing is observational humor. Cook’s experience working at Burger King, automobile accident mayhem, and other geek humor are just a few of the topics he has covered in recent acts. Cook frequently uses his own slang phrases to refer to particular locations or objects.
What college did Dane Cook go to?
