Patricia Tissie Owens was not charged for the murder of her daughters but she had been to jail for collecting welfare and a housing subsidy based on her husband’s presumed absence.
But for honor killing, it was her husband Yaser, brother-in-law Yassein Abdulfatah Said, and their own son Islam was charged.
While the cold-blooded murder was done by her husband Yaser, Yassein and Islam were arrested and charged for conspiring and harboring a fugitive for 12 and 10 years respectively.
Yaser Abdel Said was arrested on August 26, 2020 and was sentenced up to 3-decades in prison for the murder of his daughters.
He shot and killed his daughters Amina, 18, and Sarah, 17, in his taxicab in January 1, 2008. Their bodies were found in Irving, Texas.
Said remained as fugitive for 12-long-years before getting arrested in 2020. He was listed on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List for fatal shootings.
