Brilliant actress Viola Davis was born on her grandmother’s farm in South Carolina in the United States of America on August 11, 1965. She belongs to black ethnicity and American nationality. She grew up with her parents and five other siblings in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Davis’ family was very poor and faced serious financial constraints. Her mother, Mary Alice, worked as a housekeeper and laborer while her father, Dav Davis, was a horse trainer just to make ends meet.
