University of Kabianga Description

University of Kabianga is located in Kabianga Division in Kericho County. The University is situated in the Kabianga Complex, comprising of the then Kabianga Farmers Training Center, Kabianga High School and Primary School and the Kipsigis County Council Tea Farm. The Kabianga Complex has along history. The Government School, Kabianga ,was started in 1925. Kabianga Teachers’ Training College existed between 1929 and 1963, when the College was moved to the present Kericho Teachers Training College.After the relocation ,Kabianga Farmers Training Centre was established in 1959 at the premises.Its objective was to serve as an Agricultural Training facility for farmers from the South Rift and beyond.

Kabianga Farmers Training Centre became Kabianga Campus of Moi University in may 2007. In May, 2009, the University Campus was elevated to a University College and on 1st March 2013 it was awarded charter by H.E Hon. Mwai Kibaki and became a fully fledge University. The University is situated in the famous and lush tea growing highlands of Kericho in the South-Western end of the Rift Valley Province of Kenya and within the proximity of the famous multinational tea growing companies, Unilever, James Finlay and George Williamsons. It is located approximately 26 km from Kericho Town and is about 6.2 km off road a junction called Kabianga Dairies, formerly ‘Premier’ on Kericho-Kisii road.

Dean Spanos Net Worth: Dean Spanos is an American businessman who has a net worth of $1 billion. Dean Spanos was born in Stockton, California in May 1950. Spanos is the team president and CEO of the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League. Dean graduated with a BA in business administration from the University of the Pacific in 1972. In 1994 he became President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego chargers. Dean’s father Alex Spanos is the owner of the franchise and purchased a majority interest in the team in 1984. Dean received the Harold Leventhal Community Service Award and the Ellis Island medal of Honor. He was inducted into the DeMolay International Alumni Hall of Fame and was presented the Community Champions Award along with his wife Susie from the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum. Dean married Suzie in 1977 and their eldest son Alexander Gus became executive vice president and chief executive officer of the Chargers in 2011. Their second son John Dean has also worked for the NFL and the Chargers.
