Wiki: Age; the size
Tyler1, who is 5-foot-7 and weighs 185 pounds, is an online gamer who rose to prominence through his loltyler1 Twitch livestream channel. He is a popular player in the League of Legends video game, where he only plays the character Draven and is considered one of the best players in the world. He was ranked 13th in the world for the 2014 season.
He has amassed over a million Twitch followers for his frequent League of Legends streams. He also streams his playback sessions on his YouTube channel which has over 750,000 YouTube subscribers, with over 2 million views on each video! In an effort to devote his full attention to his art, Tyler dropped out of college to become a full-time YouTube streamer. He also sells merchandise on a personal website.
Even though Tyler is a great League of Legends player, that wasn’t what made him famous. It owes its notoriety to countless manifestations of toxic behavior in some of its waterways. Due to his unsportsmanlike conduct, up to 15 accounts have been banned. But each time he creates a new account where he continues with his “bad behavior”. He swears at other players, uses abusive language in chats, and sometimes leaves his keyboard for several hours.
His most serious offense was a practice known as “Inting”. This practice involves a kind of betrayal of his own team, in which he deliberately let the opposing team “kill” him, giving them money and experience points until they could defeat his team. This is what he used to do to join the other players in the league if they denied him certain buffs he wanted.
This bad publicity earned him many followers. Seeing that his reputation as “the most toxic gamer in North America” earned him more viewers on his channels, Tyler1 deliberately began to troll. His bad behavior was easily visible as he often played with professionals, other popular streamers and the staff of game developer, Riot Games. His toxic conduct reached its peak in April 2016, for which he was banned indefinitely.
Tyler1 girlfriend and Brother
Tyler1 has a girlfriend called Macaiyla. The couple met at TwitchCon2016 and started dating after a few weeks. Their relationship is full of drama as they seem to get along well at times and at other times Tyler could be seen shouting orders at her in his live videos. Macaiyla is 19, although some consider her “immature” for her age.
Macaiyla started playing games when she was 3 years old, it’s no wonder she can’t resist Tyler, who combines amazing gaming skills with good looks. Macaiyla’s life was relatively free until the drama until Tyler arrived.
Tyler’s aggressive behavior, racial slurs, cheating, Macaiyla’s insults and offensive jokes about people with disabilities ensure that this couple is never free from controversy. According to a Reddit feed, Macaiyla’s second Twitter account was reportedly suspended in March. Her first account was banned after she tweeted about a school bombing! As they say, birds of a feather flock together!
Several images of a scantily clad Macaiyla had repeatedly appeared on Tyler’s videos. This could be considered a non-issue for Macaiyla as her Instagram account is full of photos taken in her underwear and see-through clothes. She has created her own YouTube channel to allow her to clarify some of the issues arising from her controversial relationship with Tyler.
Tyler has a brother named Eric, @Erobb221 on Twitter. Tyler sometimes plays League of Legends with his brother Eric and also streams the game sessions. Tyler donated $1100 to his brother in one of his live streams for his birthday.
Game ban status
By April 2016, Tyler’s toxic behavior had peaked. Bans on his previous accounts didn’t seem to deter him even as his following continued to soar. Although the League of Legends community is considered one of the most toxic, Tyler’s antics are rare. Consequently, Riot Games, the developer overseeing the game had to take harsh disciplinary action against Tyler.
Seeing that previous bans yielded no positive results, Riot instituted a “view ban” order against Tyler. The command ensured that any account owned/managed by Tyler was instantly authorized.
The ban on Tyler1 split the dueSport lovers in two; Some thought it was appropriate to restore sanity to the League of Legends community, while loyal Tyler1 fans felt the measure was too harsh. During the ban period, Tyler1 continued to be part of the League of Legends community and said he was working to reform his toxic behavior.
However, on January 5, 2018, Tyler announced his reinstatement through his Twitter account, much to the delight of his fans. The reinstatement was confirmed by Riot, and Tyler1 officially resumed streaming games on his loltyler1 Twitch account on January 8. The reinstatement appears to be only temporary, as it appears Riot has placed him on some form of probation. According to an email he received from Riot in October 2017, he would be fully reinstated if he was able to play “clean” for a month.
Tyler’s popularity doesn’t seem to have waned as his first post-ban show garnered over 300,000 viewers within 20 minutes of going live. This first stream broke Twitch’s record for most concurrent viewers on a non-event event! The toxicity he is notorious for was conspicuously absent on his first show. Prior to the ban, Tyler1 had declared himself “most toxic player” in League of Legends, but his Twitter profile now lists “most reformed player”.
Can we say that the ban worked or is it only a matter of time before its dark side resurfaces? Only time will tell!
