Tony Finau Parents: Who Are Kelepi Finau And Ravena Finau?

Tony Finau is of Tongan and American Samoan descent and the first person of such ancestry to play on the PGA Tour. Born and bred in Salt Lake City, Utah with his four brothers and two sisters.

Finau won his first PGA Tour victory this year in March at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open at Coco Beach. The golfer’s parents’ name is Kelepi Finau and Ravena Finau. His mother Ravena Finau always supported his choice to choose a career in Golf.

She helped Tony Finau find classes for learning golf. His father was the one who coached Tony Finau in his early years as a Golfer. Ravena Finau, the mother of prominent Utah golfers Tony and Gipper Finau, was killed in an automobile accident near Elko, Nevada earlier this week. Ravena and her husband Kelepi were often seen at Utah golf tournaments in support of their two sons.

Finau’s father Kelepi worked graveyard shifts for Delta and as a result, didn’t have a lot of money. So when his children showed interest in golf, he decided to buy used equipment and also built a make-shift practice center out of the garage.
