The capital, Bangkok, also has beaches, islands, trekking destinations, minority ethnic groups, and forested mountains all of which combine to act as a magnet for tourists. Thailand is also known to have what is considered by many to be the largest market in the world, the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Other attractions in the country include archeological sites, museums, palaces, Buddhist temples, and several World Heritage sites.
