Ted Dexter is a former England international cricketer, who captained Sussex and England in the early 1960s.
Ted was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame to mark the inaugural edition of the ICC World Tech Championships final.
Dexter made his test debut against New Zealand in 1958. Later, he was made captain of Sussex, which he held until he retired.
In 1961-62, he was chosen to lead the MCC team. Moreover, he captained England in the first and second tests against Pakistan. Evaluating his performance he was confirmed as the captain for the home series and tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Dexter was one of only five England batsmen to record a score of 50 in six consecutive innings.
After his retirement, he became a broadcaster and founded a company named PR. Also, he was the president of the Marylebone Cricket Club, as per standard.

Ted Dexter got married to his gorgeous wife Susan Longfield, the daughter of a former Kent cricketer. Susan was a renowned model at that time.
The lovebirds met first at a party at the University of Cambridge and tied their knot in May 1959.
The couple is blessed with two children, named Thomas and Genevieve. However, they have not revealed much about their children in front of the media.

Recently Marylebone Cricket Club tweeted saying MCC is deeply saddened to announce the death of former President, Ted Dexter CBE.
In addition to it, the former county said that Sussex Cricket is deeply saddened to learn of the death of a former player, captain, and club president Ted. Ted was surrounded by his family when he died on Wednesday after a recent illness.
However, the actual details of the illness, with which the cricketer was suffering, have not been disclosed yet.
