Teairra Mari is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, model and actress who has an estimated net worth of $1 million. Born Teairra Marí Thomas on December 2, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan, she earned her wealth mostly from her career in the music and showbiz industry. She owes her music career to her grandmother who encouraged her to sing as early as elementary school.
She officially began her career when she was signed to Def Jam Records at the age of 16. It was at Def Jam that she released Roc-A-Fella Records Presents Teairra Marí, her very first music album. Her debut album, which she worked on alongside Jay Z, reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 200 upon its release. However, her release did not earn much commercial success. Def Jam let go of her from the recording contract in the middle of the production of her second album Second Round.
The singer, who is famously known for her hit songs such as Body and Sponsor, has also released several mixtapes including features from Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy, and Gucci Mane. She has also acted in films like Lottery Ticket (along with rappers Bow Wow and Ice Cube). She then worked in television with Love and Hip Hop: New York as well as Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood.
