Tate McRae parents Todd McRae and Tanja Rosner are a couple with multiethnic background. Tanja is German and Todd is of Scottish descent.

Tanja and Todd have been blissfully married for a prolonged time. They are proud of the close-knit bond they have built and share with each other.

They have always showered Tate with only unwavering support and love from a young age, be it in her thick or thin days.

Tate mother Tanja Rosner is a dance teacher. Rosner is the owner of the YYC Dance Project.

‘You Broke Me First’ singer was a dancer before she started recording her originals. Tate started taking dancing lessons in diverse styles from Tanja’s dance academy at 11.

Tanja also artistic, recognized Tate’s imaginative spirit along with her passion for dance since her early years.

Since Tanja is a dancer herself, it wasn’t a surprise for McRae’s family that dancing was the first creative outlet she tuned into from a young age. 

Tate has been dancing since she was just two. She definitely followed in the footsteps of Tanja. 

The young singer used to practice dance in Tanja’s basement studio for hours with high hopes of making it big.

I started off as one of the worst dancers ever, Tate stated in an interview. That said, it was Tanja’s support that helped Tate remain resilient and undeterred.

Tate father Todd Rosner is an experienced legal professional. Todd works as a Vice President of Legal at Pacific Oil & Gas presently.

Todd works have been working in the legal profession from 1997 until February 2023. He launched his career as an associate lawyer at Ballem Maclnnes.

He has been functioning at Pacific Oil & Gas since February 2020 until this day. Todd has held various positions throughout his career span of 25 years. 

Todd worked as a Vice President for Legal & General Counsel at TAQA North for seven years from 2008 until 2015.

A partial list of his responsibilities included designing, establishing, and leading legal, supply chain, and government relations functions, and more.

Per his LinkedIn, Todd has also served as a legal professional outside the country. He worked as a vice president for legal affairs for OXY in Muscat, Oman.

The legal professional worked at Ballem Maclnnes, Donahue Ernst & Young LLP, and McCarthy Tetrault as an associate lawyer in the initial years of his career.

His Education

Todd is an alumnus of the University of Saskatchewan. He holds an undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), in Economics.

Correspondingly, he studied for a Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the Univerisity of Saskatchewan from 1993 until 1996.

Todd Is 53 Years As of 2023

Todd praises his birthday on October 20 every passing year. He celebrated his 52nd birthday in 2022.

Tanja took to her Facebook to share a birthday post on his 50th birthday in 2020.

‘Happy 50th! Had an amazing day celebrating. We love you so much, Todd!’ she penned in the caption.

Unlike Tanja, Todd isn’t approachable across social platforms. He maintains a private and lowkey life preventing media scrutiny at all times.

Tate brother Tucker McRae currently plays for Dartmouth. He is a Canadian hockey player.

Tucker graduated from Ege School for Athletics Society in July 2019, according to his Instagram post.

Although Tucker doesn’t belong to the showbiz industry, he has always been supportive of Tate’s musical pursuits.

Tucker Played Hockey With Okotoks Oilers Team Previously

He played junior hockey with the Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL before playing with Dartmouth. 

According to reports, Tucker played in 58 games during the 2021-2022 season. He accumulated 38 points during the season.

Tucker also was named the Defenseman of the Year for the Okotoks Oilers.

Tate Is Two Years Younger Than Tucker

Tate and her brother Tucker share an age gap of 2 years 2 months 20 days.

The hockey player was born on April 11, 2001. He will celebrate his 22nd birthday in 2023.

Whereas born on July 1, 2003, Tate praised her 19th birthday in 2022.

Tucker McRae is 6 feet tall and has a weight of 86 kgs, 190 if measured in pounds.
