Steven Eugene Grove (born November 27, 1962), best known by his stage name Euge Groove, is a smooth jazz saxophonist from the United States with a heavy Top-40 influence. He was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, and received his bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Miami School of Music in 1984. Grove didn’t release his debut solo album until 2000, and it was a disappointment. Ahead of that, he had filled in for Richard Elliot in the Tower of Power when Elliot chose to pursue a solo career, as well as doing session work with other pop artists, most notably the Miami girl group Exposé, who he had met via his work with the group. The band’s No. 1 smash “Seasons Change,” as well as their 1993 hit “I’ll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me),” include sax solos by him. Grove went under the stage name Euge Groove, which was originally thought to have been created by fans who watched him play in Europe.
However, Grove revealed in a 2006 interview on XM Radio that the concept for his stage name came from his mother-in-law. The singles “Sneak a Peek” and “Slam Dunk” are among the most well-known of Euge Groove’s solo successes, which also include “Rewind” and the songs “Don’t let me be lonely tonight,” “Livin’ Large,” and “XXL.” He has recently released many singles, including “Get ‘Em Going,” “Chillaxin’,” and “S7ven Large.” S7ven Large (2011), Born 2 Groove (2006), Livin’ Large (2004), and Play Date (2003) are all excellent albums to check out (2002). “Sunday Morning” is the title of his most recent album, which was released lately. In 2008, he joined Tina Turner on her world tour. Grove and his wife Bane have three children: Dax, Canyon, and Lilah Belle. Grove is married to Bane and they have three children.
