Kelly Thiebaud is a 39-year-old actress and model from EI Campo, Texas. She is well-known for portraying the role as Dr. Britt Westbourne on the daytime tv series, General Hospital.
Although Thiebaud hasn’t officially announced her departure from GH, she did a post on Instagram to express her excitement about making a comeback to Station 19.
On Wednesday, Thiebaud shared she will be back on Station 19, after leaving the show. She wrote, “Excited to be back on Station19 stirring up trouble.”
Why Is Kelly Thiebaud Leaving General Hospital?
Actress Kelly Thiebaud will exit from the long-running soap opera General Hospital, in November.
Since she will be rejoining the cast of Station 19, the actress decided to leave General Hospital. In September 2012, she made her first appearance on GH as the manipulative, sarcastic Dr. Britt Westbourne.
She was said to have fallen to recurring status by November 2014, and her final episode aired in December of that same year.
However, Thiebaud continued to make appearances in 2017, 2018, and 2020 before making a more consistent comeback in September 2020.
The role of Dr. Britt, for which Thiebaud won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress earlier this year, will come to an end in November on ABC’s General Hospital.
Britt alongside Terry is presently General Hospital’s co-chiefs of staff, so this may either mean Terry obtains the position all to herself or that someone else takes her place.
Actress Kelly Thiebaud Returning As Station 19 Cast
DEADLINE reports that Kelly Thiebaud, an Emmy winner, will continue her role as Eva Vasquez in Station 19 for the drama’s sixth season, which will premiere on 6 October 2022.
Eva is the wife of murdered Station 19 firefighter Rigo Vasquez (Rigo Sanchez), who made an appearance in Season 3 of the drama.
The lady had a passionate affair with Jack Gibson (her husband’s friend), which caused complete chaos. Eva coming back is expected to be as chaotic and destructive.
“Misery likes company and Eva seeks solace with someone from her past,” adds ABC in a teaser for the character’s return.
Station 19 is a sequel to the enduring medical series Grey’s Anatomy. The drama’s cast members that center around Seattle Fire Station 19 are Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss, Boris Kodjoe, and Carlos Miranda.
Many celebrities and admirers congratulated the actress on her announcement and wished her luck in her upcoming endeavor.
Actress Gatitwwets commented, “Proud of you and very, very happy for you. Though Mutter will miss her Britta for however long, she’s gone.”
