On July 22, 1992, Selena Gomez was born to a Mexican-American father, half of whom were Italian mothers. Called after the famous singer Selena, when her parents separated, she was brought up alone by her mother in Grand Prairie, Texas. When Selena was 14 years old, her mother Mandy eventually remarried.

She formed a strong partnership with the founders of Forever the Sickest Kids and worked on a song named “Whoa Oh!”
Then Selena created a music group and named them The Scene. In September 209, the first album ‘Kiss & Tell’ was launched with its first track entitled ‘Naturally.’ The album peaked on Billboard 200 at No. 9, and was RIAA certified Platinum.
