Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Saint Lucian Visa.
- A completed and signed visa application, form to be submitted at least two weeks before your proposed travel date.

- A copy of your hotel reservation(s) with your name appearing on it.
- A copy of your return flight tickets.

Saint Lucia is an island nation which is a top destination for tourists due to its tropical weather and wonderful scenery. The country has volcanic beaches and luxury resorts which are prime for snorkeling, diving, and warm water bathing. One of the top tourist destinations in the country is the majestic twin peak called “The Pitons”, a world heritage site. Other top attractions include Sulphur Springs, the Botanical Gardens, and Pigeon Island National Park.
The number of visitors was at a record high in 2017. Over 1.1 million tourists visited Saint Lucia that year, an 11% rise in the number of tourists who visited the previous year. Concerted efforts have been made to make sure the number of tourist visits increases each year.
The penalties for drug-related offenses are very severe; don’t carry anything through Customs for anyone else.

General Requirements for Saint Lucia Visa

Saint Lucia Student Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreign citizens planning to travel to Saint Lucia to study or participate in any type of training.
- A completed student visa form of Saint Lucia should be submitted at least two weeks prior to your travel date.
- Two passport-sized photographs are required with your completed form.
- You are required to present a letter from the school, college or university in which you have been accepted to study. The letter should be written on the school’s letterhead and signed by the head of the school.
- Student travelers must demonstrate they have enough funds to sustain themselves throughout the entire period of their study in Saint Lucia.
- If you plan to work while studying, you are required to obtain a work permit. It is safe to start the process at least two months before your intended date of travel as you cannot work without the permit.
- To obtain a work permit, you need to fill a “Form A” document from the Department of Labour Relations. This form can be obtained by someone in Saint Lucia on your behalf and then mailed to you.
- Return ticket to your country of origin must be submitted alongside your completed visa application form.
- Travelers are advised to be vaccinated against hepatitis A and typhoid fever before their travel as there is a risk of these diseases in Saint Lucia.
- A police record and certified copies of educational qualifications are required to be sent alongside the “Form A”.
Saint Lucia Business Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- The Saint Lucia business visa is granted to foreign citizens whose purpose of travelling to Saint Lucia is solely to conduct business or other commercial activities.
- A valid passport with at least two unused pages remaining is needed. The passport must be valid for up to six months after the applicant’s intended departure date.
- A job offer letter is required if you have received an offer from a Saint Lucian organization.
- A duly completed business visa application form for Saint Lucia should be submitted at least two weeks prior to your travel date.
- Travelers are to ensure they secure travel insurance for Saint Lucia with full coverage of their stay.
- If you are travelling in a group, details of this must be presented during the application.
- If you intend to conduct full business transactions (like sales) while in Saint Lucia as a foreign individual, you are required to have a Trade License.
- The Trade License is issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Consumer Affairs.

- The Saint Lucia tourist visa is issued to foreign citizens planning to visit the country for tourism or leisure.
- The tourist visa is also issued to individuals planning to visit friends or relatives residing in Saint Lucia.
- A fully completed visa application form for Saint Lucia should be submitted at least two weeks prior to your departure date.
- This visa can be extended, but you will need to start the application for an extension at least 7 days before your visa expires.
- The Saint Lucia tourist visa can be issued on either a single or multiple entry basis.
- The duration you intend to spend and how often you plan to visit Saint Lucia should inform you of the type of visa you are to obtain — whether the single entry or the multiple entry visa.
- You are allowed to bring medicines for personal use as long as you have your prescriptions with you and all medicines are correctly labelled with quantities limited to what you will need for the duration of your stay.
- You are also advised to be vaccinated against hepatitis A and typhoid fever as there is a risk of these diseases in Saint Lucia.
- Departure tax is included in the price of the ticket for all passengers over 12 years old leaving the island via air travel.
- Visa fees may be paid in cash, international postal orders or bank drafts.
- When it is time to leave St. Lucia, you will need to present the same visa you came in with.
