There was a mass shooting that occurred six people were killed and twelve others are injured. The shooting was in an area of downtown Sacramento, California bustling with nightlife.
In the initial investigation, the investigators believe the numerous shooters started a fire just steps from the Capitol. Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester stated that there was a huge fight took place just before the shooting.

Who Is Smiley Martin?
Smiley Martin is the brother of the first suspect taken into custody. At the time, he is under guard at the hospital in California’s capital city.
After he is well enough to leave the hospital, he’ll be booked into jail on suspicion of possession of a firearm. His brother Dandrae Martin, was arrested early Monday morning.
As per the police, he is booked on assault and illegal firearm possession charges. The authorities have not accused the two suspects of homicide formally.
Detectives are actively working on the case and interviewing witnesses.
