Alexei Navalny is a Russian opposition leader.
He is a former Russian Opposition Coordination Council member, the leader of Russia of the Future Party, and the founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). Besides politics, he is also a lawyer.

Alexei Navalny (Алексей Навальный) says he is totally fine.
In his social media post on 15 March 2022, he addressed the prosecutor’s request to have him serve another 13 years in prison and expressed his determination not to give up and retract his works and words.
Alexei also announced that the Fund for the Fight against Corruption would become an international organization. Moreover, he mentioned that the focus remains on the investigations into the “Kremlin thieves.”
At the end of the post, he also gave his thoughts on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. He called the entire conflict the “bloody coverup of Putin’s regime.”
On Tuesday, the Russian state media reported Russian prosecutors asking the court to sentence him 13 more years of imprisonment for fraud and contempt of court. In addition to that, they also wanted a fine of about $11 thousand (1.2 million Russian Ruble) imposed on Alexei.

Alexei got poisoned (Avvelenato) with a Novichok nerve agent in August 2020. After the incident, he had his treatment in Charité Hospital, Berlin, Germany.
While returning to Russia on 17 January 2021, the officials detained him at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow then sentenced him to two and a half years in prison for parole violations.
And in February 2022, Alexei faced a new trial for fraud and contempt of court charges. Allegedly, he embezzled $4.7m (£3.5m) of donations in his Anti-Corruption Foundation and insulted a judge during his trial in February of last year.
Amnesty International (AI) currently lists him as a prisoner of conscience, while Russia’s register lists him as a terrorist and extremist.
He is currently serving time at the IK-2 penal colony. His sentencing date is 22 March 2022.
