Ronit Roy is an actor par excellence and one who’s received immense popularity with his TV shows such as Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. After exhibiting his acting prowess in Television and Films, Ronit Roy is now ruling the digital platform as well with his breakthrough performance in ALTBalaji’s web series Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain.

With two successful seasons of the highly-appreciated show, Ronit’s popularity in the digital world has gained momentum. So much so, that according to a survey by Score Trends, a US-based independent survey agency, Ronit bagged the second spot on the list surpassing Bollywood A-listers Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui who have earned the third and fourth place respectively. The ranking was done on the basis of popularity and viewership in India.

Talking about this achievement Ronit Roy shares, “I am happy to have achieved this place and I’m extremely proud to share this space with such talented actors. I am eternally grateful to my fans for their unflinching support and love that I’ve been receiving over so many years. I am overwhelmed with the kind of love Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain season 2 has got from the audiences. I will endeavor to keep doing such work and be worthy of your love. Thank you once again”.

Ronit is currently seen in the second season of ALTBalaji’s much talked about show Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain. The show has broken records in terms of viewership and millions of women across the country are hooked on to the series which progresses with a new episode every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. With a serious dilemma about life, the protagonists of the series raise questions and seek answers when it comes to complications of relationships and the equations they share with their partners.

When questioned about the #MeToo movement, the actor said, “It’s a very strong movement, it has unfortunately been around humanity not just in our country. It’s been everywhere. It started off with Oprah Winfrey, its gaining traction in many countries and now in India. We have been talking about women empowerment and this is a step in the right direction. Now, empowerment means power, and power does come with great responsibility.”

“What has come out from the social media is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m sure there are lakhs and lakhs of women who have gone through this. Not just in the film industry but everywhere in government, media and in most places. I think our Supreme Court needs to make more cognizance of the fact; because naming and shaming is good at least it coming out. The lawmakers have to provide a clear and easier credible channel for justice,” the actor concluded.

Ronit and Rohit were last seen together in  Kaabil starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam.
