In King’s Lynn, Taylor originally resided at 87 High Street before relocating to Beulah Street. Taylor attended Rosebury Avenue School as a freshman.
Taylor, his mother Winifred, father Michael, and younger sister Clare relocated to Truro, Cornwall in southwest England.
His first band, the Bubblingover Boys, in which he played the ukulele, was founded when he was seven years old by him and a few buddies.
At the age of 13, he enrolled at Truro School as a day student after spending a brief time at Truro Cathedral School.
Taylor joined the Reaction, a semi-pro rock band made primarily of Truro School lads when he was 15 years old.
